Use of Google authenticator (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) works by adding an additional layer of security to your online accounts. It requires an additional login credential – beyond just the username and password – to gain account access, and getting that second credential requires access to something that belongs to you.

  • On your phone, Google Authenticator generates 2-Step Verification code.

  • By requiring a second verification step when you sign in, 2-Step Verification strengthens the security of your BuyUcoin/Google Account.

  • You'll also need a code generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, in addition to your password.

  • Google Authenticator is a software-based authenticator developed by Google that uses the Time-based One-time Password Algorithm to provide two-step verification services.

  • With this type of two-factor authentication, simply knowing the username and password is not enough to gain access to a user's account; the attacker must also have knowledge of the shared secret key or physical access.

  • Hence high-end security is ensured with the use of  Google authenticator (2FA)
